Corey Crowder has been playing guitar and singing for over ten years. He launched a serious music project in the fall of 2001 and it was called A Farewell to Arms. Corey wrote and recorded several original tracks for a demo which was released in the spring of 2002. After the release Corey began playing shows in the Southeast trying to make a name for himself. In the winter of 2003 new material was written and recorded for the full-length "Certain Starlights and Fleeting Daybreaks" and it came out January of 2004. He then began traveling out of the southeast and seriously focusing on playing as many shows as possible with as many well known bands as possible. In the Spring of 2005 Corey entered the studio again to record a full-band 3 song EP with Eric Chapman in Birmingham, AL. The release of this EP helped to evolve the quickly growing fan base of Corey Crowder who was at that time still known as A Farewell to Arms. Later that year Corey and his management team decided that it was time to make a huge change and begin being known only as Corey Crowder. This decision was made due to the growing concern that the name A Farewell to Arms would be too confusing and didn’t quite fit the sound of the project. An 11-track acoustic only full-length was released August 2005 titled "Learning to Let Go". Corey is currently transitioning the project to a full band setting and an extremely talented drummer, John Taylor, recently joined the project. Tryouts are being held for a permanent bassist and second guitarist.
